Yilong Liu has dedicated his research career to advancing MR imaging techniques in the past eight years. Specifically, he has focused on ultra-low-field MR for accessible healthcare, combined hardware design, pulse sequence developments, image reconstruction, and artifacts removal to provide a low-cost and shielding-free solution of brain MR imaging. He has pioneered multi-slice and multi-contrast calibrationless parallel imaging using low rank tensor completion. He has also proposed novel and robust parallel imaging reconstruction approaches for simultaneous multi-slice and in-plane accelerated echo-planar imaging. Most of these contributions were published in Nature Communications, Magnetic Resonance in Medicine or presented in ISMRM annual meetings.
