Prof. Kwok-Fai So is currently the director of GHM Institute of CNS Regeneration. He became the member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 1999. He is also chair professor in Ophthalmology Department, and Jessie Ho Professor in Neuroscience, in the University of Hong Kong. He is the co-director of the State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at HKU, and co-chairman of the board of director of the China Spinal Cord Injury Network. He received Ph.D. degree from MIT in 1977, and is one of the pioneers in the field of axonal regeneration in visual system.
